Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Belarus in Minsk. Her father Sergey (d. 2019.) was an Ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born 5 May, 1998 in Minsk Belarus. Her 12 WTA singles wins include a Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is an additional area in which she shines. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both played by Elise Mertens. The Sunshine Double was achieved by Elise Mertens and her in 2019. Together, they took home WTA 1000s at Indian Wells & Miami. Just four pairs of women's tennis were able to achieve this feat. The Belarusian rose from second place to third place in the singles world rankings at the end of August on the 23rd, 2021. The highest ranking she achieved was again achieved in January 2023. However, in doubles she rose to the number one spot due to her triumph at Melbourne on February of the following year. She was coached by the former Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the season in 2019 and partially at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was briefly with her in August through September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has been coaching her from the year 2020. Her top idols are Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
